A federal grand jury in the Western District of Wisconsin, sitting in Madison, returned the following indictments today. You are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Illegal Possession of a Firearm Sends Ruston Man to Prison

United States Attorney Brandon B. Brown announced that Howard Demartae Jackson, 27, of Ruston, Louisiana, has been sentenced by United States District Judge Terry A. Doughty to 170 months in prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release, for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.

MAURICE BUTLER, age 35, of Mandeville, Louisiana, pleaded guilty on April 4, 2023 to a single count indictment charging him with possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, in violation of the Federal Gun Control Act, Title 18, United States Code, Sections 922(g)(1) and 924(a)(2) announced United States Attorney Duane A. Evans.


Ansonia Man Admits Stealing and Selling Catalytic Converters

Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, today announced that FRANCISCO AYALA, 22, of Ansonia, has pleaded in Hartford federal court to offenses related to his participation in a stolen catalytic converter trafficking ring.

West Coast Most Wanted Drug Organization Leader Arrested

A wanted fugitive on the island's West Coast Region was apprehended at approximately 1 p.m. today in Urbanization Vega Dorada, Vega Alta, by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Puerto Rico Police Department.


Memphis Murder and Southaven, Mississippi Violent Fugitive Apprehended by U.S. Marshals after Multi-Agency Manhunt

Stuart Pinkham, 33, of Southaven, Mississippi, who was wanted out of Shelby County and Southaven, MS, on multiple violent crime arrest warrants was captured yesterday by U.S. Marshals in Memphis. U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller, Western District of Tennessee, announced today.

The U.S. Marshals Southern District of West Virginia CUFFED Task Force and West Virginia State Police have completed “Operation Just & Necessary”, a two weeklong operation targeting sex offenders in Kanawha County and the surrounding area.


U.S. Marshals and CPD SWAT Arrest Gas Station Murder Suspect

For the second day in a row, the U.S. Marshals’ Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST), along with the Columbus Division of Police SWAT team and K-9 Unit arrested a murder suspect on an outstanding arrest warrant from the Franklin County Municipal Court. Malike D. Miller, 22, was wanted for murder in connection with the March 3rd shooting at a Sheetz store on the 3000 block of South Hamilton Road. SOFAST adopted the arrest warrant and Miller was quickly located and apprehended in the 1700 block of Shanley Drive, Columbus, Ohio. Miller was then transported to the Franklin County Jail pending his court appearance.

Fugitive Captured in Alabama, Wanted for the Murder of a Man in Morovis, Puerto Rico

A man charged with the murder of another man in Puerto Rico was apprehended early today in Phenix City, Alabama, by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force working a collateral lead from the U.S. Marshals in Puerto Rico and the Bayamón Special Detention Unit.

The U.S. Marshals in the Western District of Tennessee announce the capture of three male juveniles, all 17-years-old, who escaped the Wilder Juvenile Detention Center in Fayette County, Tennessee.

Second-Degree Murder Suspect Captured in Memphis by U.S. Marshals and Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies

Diego Glay, 24, was captured by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force (TRVFTF) in Memphis and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Fugitive Apprehension Team. Glay, of Memphis, was wanted on an arrest warrant charging him with Second-Degree Murder for the shooting death of a female last year.


U.S. Marshals Offer up to $5K Reward for Man Wanted on Attempted Murder Charges in NH

The U.S. Marshals in New Hampshire are asking for the public’s assistance and offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted on multiple charges stemming from shooting incidents in October 2022 in Goffstown and June 2019 in Manchester.
