Multi-Convicted Felon Sentenced to 15 Years for Possessing a Firearm and Controlled Substances

News Release: Orlando, FL - U.S. District Judge Paul G. Byron has sentenced Curtis Tyrone Johnson (35, Melbourne) to 15 years in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and possessing with the intent to distribute various controlled substances. The court also ordered Johnson to forfeit a Glock.40 caliber pistol and ammunition traceable to the offense. A federal jury had found Johnson guilty on February 8, 2023.

Prior Felon Pleads Guilty to Gun Charge

News Release: ROCHESTER, N.Y. - U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced today that Tyree D. Washington, 40, of Rochester, NY, pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of firearms before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark W. Pedersen. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Yancey, 23, Madison, Wisconsin, was sentenced today by Chief U.S. District Judge James D. Peterson to 7 years in federal prison for distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Yancey pled guilty to this charge on Feb. 24, 2023.
