Lubbock, TX - The United States Marshals Service - North Texas Fugitive Task Force (NTFTF) in cooperation with Homeland Security Investigations, Texas Department of Public Safety - Criminal Investigation Division, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, and the Lubbock Police Department are proud to announce the 8th annual “Lubbock Tornado" operation targeting registered non-compliant sex offenders in Lubbock, TX and Lubbock County.

As a result of this annual initiative, sex offenders located and within compliance has increased, whereas non-compliance has decreased substantially.

479 encountered sex offenders were in compliance with the State of Texas sex offender registry requirements, 18 were found to be non-compliant, 13 arrests were made, and multiple investigations have been generated for non-compliant offenders; more arrests will be forthcoming as a result of this operation
