Shreveport, LA - The U.S. Marshals Shreveport Violent Offender Task Force, working a collateral lead from the North Texas Fugitive Task Force (NTFTF) in Dallas, TX, arrested a man wanted by the Dallas Police Department on Aggravated Robbery charges on Wednesday, Aug. 09, 2023.

It is alleged that Redricous Lewis and others pinned a Dallas Police officer’s unmarked car with their vehicles before firing at the officer, who was not in uniform, hitting the officer in the leg.

The Shreveport Violent Offender Task Force began investigating and discovered that Redricous Lewis was associated with an apartment off the 9400 block of Kingston Rd in Shreveport, LA. The Shreveport Police Department Special Response Team executed a search warrant for that apartment and Lewis leaped from the second floor of the apartment during the search. The Shreveport Violent Offender Task Force was able to arrest Lewis at a business off the 800 block of W Bert Kouns Industrial in Shreveport, LA and Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the scene.

The Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crimes and Property Crimes Detectives were called to the apartment to investigate. More suspects were arrested, guns were seized, and additional charges may be filed in this case.
