U.S. Marshals in Virginia and North Carolina are looking for one of two men who escaped the Piedmont Regional Jail in Farmville, Virginia, earlier today and offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to his capture.

Bruce Carroll Callahan, 44, is wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) for escape from custody.

Callahan was being held on federal drug and weapons charges issued by the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of North Carolina.

Callahan is a white male, standing 5 feet 6 inches and weighing 145 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes.

The USMS in the Eastern District of North Carolina, assisted by the Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force (CRFRF), is leading the fugitive investigation for Callahan.

The FBI has retained jurisdiction over the Alder Marin-Sotelo escape and has taken the lead. However, the USMS in the Middle District of North Carolina, along with members from the CRFTF, are assisting the investigation.

Anyone with information on Callahan’s current location is urged to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-877-WANTED-2 or submit information via the USMS Tips App.   Your information will be taken in strict confidence. Your anonymity is guaranteed.
