Acting United States Attorney Steven Russell announced that Brandon Ford, 36, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced on Aug. 2, 2022 in federal court in Lincoln, Nebraska, for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 10 grams or more of an analogue of Fentanyl. United States District Judge John M. Gerrard sentenced Ford to 60 months’ imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system. After his release from prison, he will begin a five-year term of supervised release. He will also forfeit to the United States $16,122 in U.S. currency.
On Feb. 19, 2020, a confidential informant purchased 50 pills of a Fentanyl analogue from Ford for $600. On May 18, 2020, law enforcement utilized the confidential informant to purchase 200 pills of Fentanyl analogue. On June 16, 2020, the confidential informant purchased another 100 Fentanyl analogue pills from Ford. When law enforcement executed a search warrant on Ford’s residence, they seized $16,122 in drug proceeds and that is being forfeited to the United States. These pills were counterfeit Percocet pills which are blue in color and have an M imprinted on one side and 30 imprinted on the other side. These are known on the streets as Mexican Oxy and Dirty 30s.
