News Release: SOUTH BEND - Mylin Murel, 20 years old, of Atlanta, GA, was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Robert L. Miller, Jr. after pleading guilty to stealing firearms from a federally licensed firearms dealer, announced United States Attorney Clifford D. Johnson.


Normal, Illinois, Woman Pleads Guilty to Illegally Purchasing Firearm Used to Shoot and Kill Champaign Police Officer

News Release: PEORIA, Ill. - A Normal, Illinois, woman, Regina Lewis, 28, of the 1200 block of Major Street, pleaded guilty on May 16, 2023, to conspiracy to illegally purchase and transfer a firearm and conspiracy to engage in misleading conduct. Sentencing for Lewis has been scheduled on Oct. 2, 2023, at the U.S. Courthouse in Urbana, Illinois.


Plymouth Man Sentenced to Ten Years in Federal Prison for Arson of Apartment Building

News Release: United States Attorney Gregory J. Haanstad of the Eastern District of Wisconsin announced that on May 10, 2023, Jonathan T. Lane (age: 32) of Plymouth, Wisconsin, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for arson to a building.

The Justice Department announced today that it has secured a settlement agreement with Infosoft Solutions Inc., a New Jersey IT recruiting and contracting company operating as KForce Tech LLC. The settlement resolves the department’s determination that Infosoft violated the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) by posting six discriminatory job advertisements that solicited applications only from non-U.S. citizens who needed visa sponsorship and, in one case, also sought applicants only from India.
