Bristol Man Involved in Gun Trafficking Scheme Sentenced to Prison

News Release: Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that JOSHUA BENTZ, 39, of Bristol, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Janet Bond Arterton in New Haven to 24 months of imprisonment, followed by two years of supervised release, for illegally trafficking firearms from South Carolina to Connecticut.

The Office of the United States Attorney for the District of Vermont stated that on May 1, 2023, Varian Lefebvre, 29, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Christina Reiss to 77 months’ imprisonment to be followed by a 7-year term of supervised release for possessing with intent to distribute fentanyl and for being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm on January 21, 2021.
