Hyannis Man Indicted for Unlawfully Possessing Ammunition

News Release: BOSTON - A Hyannis man has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Boston for unlawfully possessing ammunition as a convicted felon.


Tampa Gang Member Sentenced to 10 Years in Federal Prison for Possessing a Firearm

News Release: TAMPA, Fla. - U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle has sentenced Demetrius Lamar Rahmings, 28, of Tampa to 10 years in federal prison for possessing a loaded firearm as a convicted felon. The court also ordered Rahmings to forfeit a Taurus G2C 9mm Pistol and 19 rounds of 9mm ammunition traceable to the offense. Rahmings had been found guilty on May 30, following a bench trial.


Melvin Hill Convicted by Jury on Federal Drug and Firearms Charges

News Release: BURLINGTON, Vt. - The U.S. Attorney for the District of Vermont announced that Melvin Hill, 44, of Tignall, Georgia, was convicted yesterday in U.S. District Court in Rutland on five drug and gun charges after a week-long jury trial. Chief U.S. District Judge Geoffrey Crawford ordered that Hill remain in jail pending sentencing, which has not been scheduled. Hill has been held without bail since his arrest in March 2022.


Bogalusa Man Indicted on Federal Firearms and Drug Trafficking Charges

News Release: NEW ORLEANS - Romero Morris, 34, a resident of Bogalusa, Louisiana, was charged on Aug. 18 in an 11-count indictment with several violations of the Federal Gun Control and Federal Controlled Substances Acts, announced U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans.


Two Fugitives Arrested in Long Beach after 2-Hour Stand Off on Firearms and Narcotics Charges

News Release: LONG BEACH, California - The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) working with Long Beach Police Department and the U.S. Marshal Service (USMS) arrested two documented gang members who have been eluding law enforcement since 2021 for outstanding warrants originating out of Louisville, Kentucky.


Escondido Man Sentenced to 31 Years to Life in Prison for Murder and Arson

News Release: SAN DIEGO - An Escondido man was sentenced earlier this week to 31 years to life in prison for murder and arson, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced today.


Prior Felon Going to Prison on Gun Charge

News Release: ROCHESTER, N.Y. - U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced today that Paul Pringle, 44, of Hilton, New York, who was convicted of being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition, was sentenced to serve 60 months in prison by Chief U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford.


New Haven Man Who Committed 5 Gunpoint Robberies of New Haven Store Sentenced to More Than 13 Years in Prison

News Release: NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Vanessa Roberts Avery, U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that Jermaine Cannon, 20, of New Haven, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Alvin W. Thompson in Hartford to 162 months of imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release, for robbery and firearm offenses related to his commission of five gunpoint robberies of the same New Haven business during a six-week period in 2021.


Lansing Man Sentenced to 46 Months in Prison for Illegal Gun Possession

News Release: GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan Mark Totten today announced that Davion Shymarri Shaltry, 19, of Lansing, Michigan, was sentenced to 46 months in prison for illegally possessing a firearm as a felon. Shaltry will be on supervised release for three years after he is released from prison.

Fort Myers Man Pleads Guilty to Possessing a Firearm and Ammunition as a Convicted Felon

News Release: FORT MYERS, Fla. - U.S. Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Deshon G. Walker, 26, of Fort Myers today pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon. Walker faces a minimum mandatory penalty of 15 years, up to life, in federal prison. A sentencing date has not been set.

Providence Man Pleads Guilty to Federal Firearm and Drug Trafficking Charges

Cincinnati Man Pleads Guilty to Murder of Convenience Store Owner, 5 Armed Robberies
