Baton Rouge Man Sentenced to 82 Months in Federal Prison for Gun and Drug Possession

News Release: United States Attorney Ronald C. Gathe, Jr., announced that U.S. District Judge John W. deGravelles sentenced Travis Odale Henderson, age 39, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to 82 months in federal prison following his convictions for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The Court further ordered Henderson to serve three years of supervised release following his term of imprisonment, pay a $5,000 fine, and forfeit the firearm involved.


Monroe Man Sentenced for $1.1 Million COVID-19 Fraud Scheme

News Release: MONROE, La. - Michael Ansezell Tolliver, 57, of Monroe, Louisiana, has been sentenced by United States District Judge Terry A. Doughty for money laundering in connection with a fraudulent scheme to obtain more than $1.1 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Program loans. Tolliver was sentenced to 120 months in prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release. In addition, Tolliver was ordered to pay $1,114,724 in restitution.

News Release: SHERMAN, Texas - Damien M. Diggs has taken the oath of office to become the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas. Diggs was nominated by President Joe Biden on Feb. 2, 2023 and confirmed by the U.S. Senate on May 4, 2023. He took the oath of office on May 7, 2023 from Chief U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap.


Federal Jury Convicts Former El Paso Independent School District Employee on Kidnapping Charges

News Release: ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, announced today that a federal jury returned guilty verdicts against Jeffrey Steven Clay. The jury convicted Clay, 51, of Anthony, New Mexico, on one count each of kidnapping and transportation for illegal sexual activity. United States District Judge Kenneth J. Gonzales presided over the trial.
