Multi-Convicted Felon Sentenced to More Than Eleven Years in Federal Prison for Possession With the Intent To Distribute Cocaine and for Violating Terms of Supervised Release

News Release: Jacksonville, Florida - Chief U.S. District Judge Timothy J. Corrigan has sentenced Corinthian King (32, Jacksonville) to 11 years and 8 months in federal prison for possessing with the intent to distribute cocaine. King has also agreed to the forfeiture of a Glock 9mm pistol and ammunition, possessed during his commission of the offense. King had pleaded guilty on Sept. 21, 2022, and admitted to violating his supervised release on April 25, 2023.


Rapid City Man Sentenced for Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person

News Release: RAPID CITY - United States Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell announced today that U.S. District Judge Jeffrey L. Viken has sentenced a Rapid City, South Dakota, man convicted of Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person. The sentencing took place on April 24, 2023.


Puerto Rico and USVI Environmental Crimes Task Force

United States Attorney W. Stephen Muldrow for the District of Puerto Rico, United States Attorney Delia Smith for the District of the United States Virgin Islands (USVI), and Chief Deborah Harris of the Department of Justice’s Environmental Crime Section announced, along with multiple federal law enforcement Special Agents in Charge, the formation of a Puerto Rico and USVI Environmental Crimes Task Force (Task Force) to investigate and prosecute violations of federal law harming the environment, wildlife and human health, and associated fraud, waste, and abuse.


Convicted Felon Sentenced for Possessing Firearms

News Release: Patrick Charles Schutz, age 38, of Casper, Wyoming, was sentenced for being a felon in possession of firearms to 28 months in prison with three years of supervised release and a $100 special assessment. U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson imposed the sentence on April 24, 2023.

Bristol Man Involved in Gun Trafficking Scheme Sentenced to Prison

News Release: Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that JOSHUA BENTZ, 39, of Bristol, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Janet Bond Arterton in New Haven to 24 months of imprisonment, followed by two years of supervised release, for illegally trafficking firearms from South Carolina to Connecticut.


Waterbury Man Sentenced to 2 Years in Federal Prison for Lying to Federal Agents Investigating Waterbury Gang Violence

News Release: Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that SHAN THOMPSON, 25, of Waterbury, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Kari A. Dooley in Bridgeport to 24 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, for making false statements to federal law enforcement agents investigating gang-related violence in Waterbury.


Prince George’s County Felon Sentenced to Seven Years in Federal Prison for Two Counts of Illegal Possession of a Firearm

News Release: Greenbelt, Maryland - U.S. District Judge Deborah J. Boardman sentenced Sean Christopher Henderson, age 36, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, yesterday to seven years in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release, after Henderson pleaded guilty to two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm.


Colorado Springs Woman Sentenced to 20 Years in Federal Prison for Distributing Fentanyl Resulting in Death

The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado announces Alexis Nicole Wilkins, age 28, of Colorado Springs was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison today for distributing fentanyl, resulting in the death of a high school student.


Former U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Assistant Inspector General Sentenced for Falsifying Financial Disclosure Forms

A former Assistant Inspector General for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) was sentenced today to one year and one day in prison for engaging in a scheme to conceal his financial indebtedness to a government contractor and personal friend to whom he steered tens of millions of dollars in government business.

On May 10, Joshua David Lubitz, 38, of Sunrise, Florida, pleaded guilty in federal district court to threatening election workers during a federal primary election held in August 2022.

On May 11, Doris Joann Gilmore, 61, from Montgomery, Alabama, pleaded guilty to federal program theft and failure to submit payroll taxes collected from employees, announced United States Attorney Sandra J. Stewart.

A Nevada man has been charged with 98 counts of federal hate crimes and weapons and explosives offenses, including the murder of one person and attempted murder of 44 others, for his actions during the shooting and attempted bombing at the Irvine Taiwanese Presbyterian Church on May 15, 2022.
