Plaquemine Woman Sentenced to 44 Months for Pandemic Benefits Fraud Scheme

News Release: United States Attorney Ronald C. Gathe, Jr. announced that U.S. District Judge Brian A. Jackson sentenced Lestreonia Renee Rodrigue, age 28, of Plaquemine, Louisiana, to 44 months in federal prison following her conviction for mail fraud. The Court further sentenced Rodrigue to serve three years of supervised release following her term of imprisonment and ordered her to pay $663,259 in restitution.

Rapid City Man Sentenced to 14 Years in Prison for Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance

News Release: RAPID CITY - United States Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell announced that U.S. District Judge Jeffrey L. Viken has sentenced a Rapid City, South Dakota, man convicted of Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance. The sentencing took place on April 17, 2023.


New Orleans Man Pleads Guilty to Violating the Federal Gun Control Act

News Release: RALEIGH, N.C. - Yesterday in federal court, Cruz Miguel Aguina, 40, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Terrence W. Boyle to eight months in prison following a guilty plea to immigration fraud. Moreover, Aguina was judicially denaturalized as a U.S. citizen.


Savage Life Gang Members Sentenced to Racketeering Charges

News Release: DAVENPORT, IA - Two Davenport men were sentenced on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in relation to a racketeering prosecution. Austin Zachary Ruiz, 28, was sentenced to 202 months in federal prison for assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering and use and carry a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. Olajuwan Hakeem Culbreath, 27, was sentenced to 152 months in federal prison for aiding and abetting the same charges.

News Release: Tampa, Florida - U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Barber has sentenced Micheal Hankerson (31, Poinciana) to six years in federal prison for possessing firearms and ammunition as a convicted felon. As part of his sentence, the court also ordered Hankerson to forfeit firearms and ammunition. Hankerson had been found guilty on Dec. 3, 2022.


Baton Rouge Man Sentenced to 82 Months in Federal Prison for Gun and Drug Possession

Gathe, Jr., announced that U.S. District Judge John W. deGravelles sentenced Travis Odale Henderson, age 39, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to 82 months in federal prison following his convictions for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The Court further ordered Henderson to serve three years of supervised release following his term of imprisonment, pay a $5,000 fine, and forfeit the firearm involved.
