La Crosse Felon Sentenced to 46 Months for Illegal Gun Possession

News Release: MADISON, WIS. - Timothy M. O’Shea, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Kareem Nellem, 30, La Crosse, Wisconsin was sentenced today by Chief U.S. District Judge James D. Peterson to 46 months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a felon. This prison term will be followed by a 3-year term of supervised release. Nellem pleaded guilty to this charge on April 12, 2023.

Ansonia Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Stealing and Selling Catalytic Converters

News Release: Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that FRANCISCO AYALA, 22, of Ansonia, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Sarala V. Nagala in Hartford to 30 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, for offenses related to his participation in a stolen catalytic converter trafficking ring.


Judge Finds Fort Myers Felon Guilty of Unlawfully Possessing a Loaded Firearm With an Obliterated Serial Number

News Release: Fort Myers, Florida - United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Steven Dewayne Barnes, Jr. (26, Fort Myers) has been found guilty, following a bench trial before United States District Judge Sheri Polster Chappell, of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number. Barnes faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not been set.

News Release: JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - U.S. District Judge Brian J. Davis has sentenced Dylan Milton Jarvis, 31, (Orange Park) to one year and four months in federal prison for unlawful possession of an unregistered National Firearms Act firearm (sawed-off shotgun). Jarvis was found guilty after a bench trial on April 25.


Boise Man Sentenced on Federal Gun Crime

News Release: BOISE - Jeffrey Eldridge, 57, of Boise, was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for the unlawful possession of firearms, announced U.S. Attorney Josh Hurwit. U.S. District Judge Amanda K. Brailsford also ordered Eldridge to serve three years of supervised release following his prison sentence.

Mount Dora Convicted Felon Sentenced to Seven Years for Illegally Possessing a Firearm

News Release: Ocala, Florida - Senior United States District Judge John Antoon II has sentenced Woodrow Milton Butler (40, Mount Dora) to seven years in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. The court also ordered the forfeiture of the firearm and ammunition used in the offense. Butler had pleaded guilty on Feb. 1, 2023.


Former Postal Employee Pleads Guilty to Stealing and Selling Firearm

News Release: Jacksonville, Florida - United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Maisha K. Daniels (46, Jacksonville) today pleaded guilty to selling a stolen firearm. Daniels faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not been set.

News Release: Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that LUIS MIGUEL RODRIGUEZ, 25, of Hartford, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Alvin W. Thompson in Hartford to approximately 32 months of imprisonment, time already served, and three years of supervised release, for unlawfully possessing firearms.
