Zephyrhills Man Sentenced to 27 Months for Unlawful Making of a Firearm

News Release: Tampa, FL - U.S. District Judge Mary Scriven has sentenced James John Hall (34, Zephyrhills) to two years and three months in federal prison for unlawfully making a firearm. Hall had pleaded guilty on April 3, 2023.


Peoria, Illinois, Man Sentenced to 40 Months in Prison for Possession of a Firearm as a Felon

News Release: PEORIA, Ill. - A Peoria, Illinois, man, Denzel L. Jordan, 29, of the 1200 block of North University Street, was sentenced on July 20, 2023, to 40 months in federal prison for possession of a firearm and ammunition, to be followed by three years of supervised release.


Hartford Man Who Possessed Loaded Guns and Drugs While on State Parole Sentenced to 32 Months in Federal Prison

News Release: Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that LUIS MIGUEL RODRIGUEZ, 25, of Hartford, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Alvin W. Thompson in Hartford to approximately 32 months of imprisonment, time already served, and three years of supervised release, for unlawfully possessing firearms.



Florida Man Pleads Guilty to Felony Charge for Actions During January 6 Capitol Breach

News Release: WASHINGTON - A Florida man pleaded guilty today to one felony and six misdemeanors related to his actions during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. His actions and the actions of others disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress convened to ascertain and count the electoral votes related to the 2020 presidential election.


East Moline, Illinois, Man Convicted of Drug Trafficking and Firearms Charges

News Release: PEORIA, Ill. - An East Moline, Illinois, man, Marcus Dixon, 29, was sentenced on July 18, 2023, to 260 months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, following his conviction for possession with intent to distribute cocaine base and marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, and two counts of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Judge Finds Fort Myers Felon Guilty of Unlawfully Possessing a Loaded Firearm With an Obliterated Serial Number

News Release: Fort Myers, Florida - United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Steven Dewayne Barnes, Jr. (26, Fort Myers) has been found guilty, following a bench trial before United States District Judge Sheri Polster Chappell, of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number. Barnes faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not been set.

Man Admits Theft From Newington Gun Store

News Release: Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that TROY HARRIS, 28, pleaded guilty today in New Haven federal court to a firearm offense stemming from a Newington gun store theft in September 2021.


Local Men Sentenced in Connection With Jung Hotel Shooting

News Release: NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA - TREJON HOWARD, age 20, of New Orleans, and TIQUAN EVERSON, age 26, of Avondale, were sentenced on July 12, 2023 by United States District Judge Ivan L.R. Lemelle, announced U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans.


Jury Convicts Jacksonville Felon for Illegally Possessing a Loaded Firearm

News Release: Jacksonville, Florida - United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that a federal jury has found Dwayne Eric Thompson (39, Jacksonville) guilty of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Thompson faces a maximum penalty of 15 years’ imprisonment. A sentencing date has not yet been set.


Maple Grove Felon Sentenced to Prison for Illegal Possession of Ammunition

News Release: MINNEAPOLIS - A Maple Grove man has been sentenced to 30 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for illegal possession of ammunition, announced United States Attorney Andrew M. Luger.


Boise Man Sentenced on Federal Gun Crime

News Release: BOISE - Jeffrey Eldridge, 57, of Boise, was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for the unlawful possession of firearms, announced U.S. Attorney Josh Hurwit. U.S. District Judge Amanda K. Brailsford also ordered Eldridge to serve three years of supervised release following his prison sentence.

Chalmette Man Indicted for Federal Gun Offenses

News Release: NEW ORLEANS - On July 21, 2023, Tyree King, 33, a resident of Chalmette, Louisiana, was charged in Count 1 with being a felon in possession of a firearm in violation of Title 18 United States Code Sections 922(g)(1) and 924(a)(8). In Count 2, he was charged with possessing a machinegun in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 922(o) and 924(a)(2), announced U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans.

U.S. Marshals Arrest 2 Cleveland Homicide Suspects in One Home

News Release: Warrensville Heights - This morning, members of the U.S. Marshals Service, Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) located and arrested Jason Wilder, 25, and Jaden Hughey, 19. Wilder and Hughey were wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police for aggravated murder.
