Minneapolis Felon Sentenced to Ten Years in Prison for Fentanyl Trafficking

News Release: MINNEAPOLIS - A Minneapolis man was sentenced to 120 months in prison for possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute, announced U.S. Attorney Andrew M. Luger.

Previously Convicted Felon Sentenced to 9 Years in Prison for Federal Drug Trafficking, Firearms Offenses

News Release: ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, and Brendan Iber, Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, announced today that Gabriel Villasenor was sentenced to a term of 115 months in prison. Villasenor, 29, pled guilty on Sept. 2, 2022, to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.


Rochester Man Sentenced to 33 Months in Prison

News Release: SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Justin Overholser, 40, of Rochester, Indiana, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Jon E. DeGuilio after pleading guilty to theft of firearms from a federal firearms licensee, announced U.S. Attorney Clifford D. Johnson.


St. Paul Felon Pleads Guilty to Illegal Possession of Firearm

Peoria, Illinois, Man Sentenced to 48 Months in Prison for Possessing a Firearm as a Felon

News Release: PEORIA, Ill. - A Peoria, Illinois, man, Terrance T. Dotson, 50, of the 1600 block of South Livingston Street, was sentenced on July 20, 2023, to 48 months’ imprisonment, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for possessing a firearm and ammunition as a felon.



Mercer County Man Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison for Heroin Trafficking, Unlawful Possession of Firearms, and Possession of Firearm in Furtherance of Heroin Trafficking

News Release: TRENTON, N.J. - A Mercer County, New Jersey, man was sentenced today to 300 months in prison for heroin trafficking and firearms charges, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced.


La Crosse Felon Sentenced to 46 Months for Illegal Gun Possession

News Release: MADISON, WIS. - Timothy M. O’Shea, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Kareem Nellem, 30, La Crosse, Wisconsin was sentenced today by Chief U.S. District Judge James D. Peterson to 46 months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a felon. This prison term will be followed by a 3-year term of supervised release. Nellem pleaded guilty to this charge on April 12, 2023.


South Bend Man Sentenced to 57 Months in Prison

News Release: SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Kevin Brazier, Jr., 45, of South Bend, Indiana, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Jon E. DeGuilio after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm, announced U.S. Attorney Clifford D. Johnson.


Federal Jury Convicts Pensacola Armed Fentanyl Trafficker

News Release: PENSACOLA, FLORIDA - Marcus D. Flintroy, 32, of Pensacola, Florida, was found guilty by a federal jury Wednesday afternoon on two counts of distribution of fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The guilty verdict was announced by Jason R. Coody, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.


Former Postal Employee Pleads Guilty to Stealing and Selling Firearm

News Release: Jacksonville, Florida - United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Maisha K. Daniels (46, Jacksonville) today pleaded guilty to selling a stolen firearm. Daniels faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not been set.


Danville, Illinois, Man Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon as an Armed Career Criminal

News Release: URBANA, Ill. - A Danville, Illinois, man, Alvin Beasley, 38, was sentenced today to 300 months of imprisonment, to be followed by a five-year term of supervised release, after being convicted of possessing a firearm as a felon following a jury trial in September 2021.

ATF National Response Team Joins Local, State Fire Investigation in Sterling, Illinois

News Release: WASHINGTON - The Chicago Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives requested ATF’s National Response Team join the investigation into a fire that occurred the morning of Friday, July 7, 2023, that claimed the life of one resident. Two others sustained non-life threating injuries in the three-story mixed-use building on the 400 block of 3rd Street in Sterling, Illinois.


Drug Courier Sentenced to 37 Months in Federal Prison

News Release: WATERBURY, Conn. - Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that ARMANDO VARELA-PLAZA, 41, a citizen of Mexico last residing in Queens, New York, has been sentenced by U.S. District Judge Alvin W. Thompson in Hartford to 37 months of imprisonment for his role in a drug trafficking ring.

Sun Prairie Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Illegal Firearm Transfer

News Release: MADISON, WIS. - Timothy M. O’Shea, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Daniel Baccas, 22, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin was sentenced yesterday by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to 30 months in federal prison for transferring a firearm to a prohibited person. Baccas pled guilty to the charge on April 7, 2023.
