Metairie Man Pleads Guilty for Use of Communication Device to Facilitate Drug Trafficking

News Release: NEW ORLEANS - U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans announced that on Aug. 17, Brandon Martinez, aka “Rabbit," 24, of Metairie, pleaded guilty to count 1 of the superseding bill of information for use of a communication facility to facilitate felony drug trafficking, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 843(b).

News Release: SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - Former police officer William Cintrón-Rivera, aka “El Kid/Kid" was sentenced to eight years in prison for the theft of 54 guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition from the Puerto Rico Police Bureau (PRPB), Guayama headquarters, on July 17, 2019. The defendant was ordered to forfeit his position as a PRPB officer and pay $48,624 in restitution to the PRPB.

News Release: Tampa, Florida - U.S. District Judge Katherine Kimball Mizelle has sentenced Johnathan Thuemler (32, Oregon) to six years and five months in federal prison for possessing with the intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl and for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Thuemler had pleaded guilty on May 15, 2023.
