FBI Newark Honors the Anti-Defamation League of New York/New Jersey with National Award

Florida Murder Suspect Arrested by U.S. Marshals in Canton

News Release: Canton, OH - The U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) in Canton, OH arrested Cherie Goss (42) earlier today on charges of attempted first degree murder. Goss was wanted by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Fort Lauderdale, FL after charges were filed against her in early April. The U.S. Marshals Service was able to track her to Stark County, OH where she was arrested.

Two More Sentenced for Roles in Beckley-to-Philadelphia Firearms Trafficking Conspiracy

Hassan Abdullah, also known as “San,” 28, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to one year and six months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, and Donte Webster, 23, of Beckley, West Virginia, was sentenced to two years and nine months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for their roles in a conspiracy to traffic over 140 firearms from the Beckley area to Philadelphia.

Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon Agrees to Pay Nearly $24 Million to Settle False Claims Act Allegations

A plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, along with his son, medical practices and billing company, have agreed to pay $23.9 million to resolve allegations that they violated the False Claims Act by submitting or causing the submission of false claims to both Medicare and Medicaid.


Ethete Man Sentenced for Assault With Fire

Quentin Charles Lee, age 28, of Ethete, Wyoming, was sentenced to 30 months in prison with three years of supervised release and a $100 special assessment for assault with a dangerous weapon, namely fire, by means of using lighter fluid and a lighter. U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson imposed the sentence on April 21, 2023.
