Baton Rouge Man Sentenced to Seventeen Years in Federal Prison for Armed Robbery and Related Gun Offense

News Release: United States Attorney Ronald C. Gathe, Jr., announced that U.S. District Judge John W. deGravelles sentenced Oreall Ruffin, age 25, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to 205 months in federal prison following his convictions for interference with commerce by robbery and using, carrying, and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence. The Court further ordered Ruffin to serve three years of supervised release following his term of imprisonment.

News Release: CLEVELAND - Reginald Allen, 37, of Akron, Ohio, was sentenced yesterday to 157 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Bridget M. News Release: FORT MYERS, Fla. - U.S. District Judge Sheri Polster Chappell has sentenced Shaborn Washington, 29, of Palmetto to eight years and four months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a previously convicted felon. The court also ordered Washington to forfeit the firearm and ammunition possessed during the offense. Washington had been found guilty following a bench trial on February 23.

News Release: Montgomery, Alabama - On August 7, 2023, a federal judge sentenced 42-year-old Gerald Dyron Little, from Montgomery, Alabama, to 120 months in prison for illegally possessing ammunition he used during a shooting at a funeral, announced United States Attorney Sandra J. Stewart. In addition to the ten-year sentence, the judge also ordered that Little serve three years of supervised release following his prison term. There is no parole in the federal system.
