ATF National Response Team To Investigate Buffington Farms Fire

News Release: CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The National Response Team (NRT) of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) arrived on-scene Wednesday to join agents from the Cape Girardeau, St. Louis and Fairview Heights ATF Offices in investigating a large fire that destroyed parts of Buffington Farms in Williamsville, Missouri.

South Carolina Man Who Orchestrated Drug Deals By Phone From Prison Pleads Guilty to Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine

News Release: Jacksonville, Florida - United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Zachariah Ryan Luke (28, Bennettsville, South Carolina) today pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. Luke faces minimum mandatory penalty of 10 years, up to life, in federal prison. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

Dade City Man Arrested for Unlicensed Possession of a Machine Gun

News Release: TAMPA, Fla. - U.S. Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces the arrest and filing of a criminal complaint charging Stewart Walter Bachmann, 55, of Dade City with one count of unlicensed possession of a firearm not registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record (NFRTR). If convicted, Bachmann faces up to 10 years in federal prison.

Oregon Felon Sentenced to More Than Six Years for Drug Trafficking and Firearm Possession

News Release: Tampa, Florida - U.S. District Judge Katherine Kimball Mizelle has sentenced Johnathan Thuemler (32, Oregon) to six years and five months in federal prison for possessing with the intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl and for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Thuemler had pleaded guilty on May 15, 2023.

Alabama Man Sentenced to Over 26 Years in Prison for Robberies and Firearm Offenses

News Release: JACKSON, Miss. - An Anniston, Alabama, man was sentenced to 314 months in prison for two counts of robbery, two counts of using or carrying a firearm in connection with crimes of violence and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, announced U.S. Attorney Darren J. Hartford Man Pleads Not Guilty to Felon in Possession Charge

News Release: BURLINGTON, Vt. - The Office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Vermont stated that on Aug. 17, James Ingerson, 53, of Hartford, Vermont, pleaded not guilty to a single-count indictment that charges him with being a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm. At the hearing, U.S. Magistrate Judge Kevin J. Doyle ordered Ingerson to remain in custody during the pretrial proceedings.
