News Release: PEORIA, Ill. - A Moline, Illinois, man, Cordero Harris, 34, was sentenced on April 26, 2023, to 240 months in federal prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, and possession of a firearm as a felon.

News Release: Jacksonville, Florida - United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Dr. Rakesh Verma (46, Jacksonville) has pleaded guilty to making a false statement to a federal firearms dealer. Verma faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison. Lake County Convicted Felon Sentenced to Two Years in Federal Prison for Conspiracy to Traffic More Than 130 Pounds of Marijuana

News Release: Jacksonville, Florida - U.S. District Judge Brian J. Davis has sentenced Jack Protzman (74, Tavares) to two years in federal prison for conspiracy to traffic more than 130 pounds of marijuana. The court also ordered Protzman to forfeit $18,440, and an additional $32,800 was administratively forfeited, which amounts were traceable to proceeds of the offense. Protzman had pleaded guilty on Aug. 16, 2022.

Florida Murder Suspect Arrested by U.S. Marshals in Canton

News Release: Canton, OH - The U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) in Canton, OH arrested Cherie Goss (42) earlier today on charges of attempted first degree murder. Goss was wanted by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Fort Lauderdale, FL after charges were filed against her in early April. The U.S. Marshals Service was able to track her to Stark County, OH where she was arrested.
