Sun Prairie Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Illegal Firearm Transfer

News Release: MADISON, WIS. - Timothy M. O’Shea, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Daniel Baccas, 22, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin was sentenced yesterday by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to 30 months in federal prison for transferring a firearm to a prohibited person. Baccas pled guilty to the charge on April 7, 2023.

News Release: LAFAYETTE, La. - United States Attorney Brandon B. Brown announced that Lensly Johnnie, 38, of Lafayette, Louisiana, was sentenced today by United States District Judge Robert R. Summerhays on drug charges. Johnnie was sentenced to 88 months (7 years, 4 months) in prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release.

Tampa Man Pleads Guilty to Illegally Possessing Firearm

News Release: Tampa, Florida - United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Deandre Riviera Lopez (33, Tampa) has pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Lopez faces a minimum mandatory penalty of 15 years, up to life, in federal prison under the Armed Career Criminal Act. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

News Release: NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA - On June 27, 2023, DAMION WILSON, age 23, a resident of Metairie, Louisiana, was found guilty by a federal jury of four counts in a six count indictment. Specifically, WILSON was found guilty of possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, maintaining a drug involved premises, and lying to a federal agent. He was acquitted of two other related counts.
