News Release: ALBANY, NEW YORK - Charles J. Whorley, age 35, formerly of Schenectady, New York, was sentenced today to 72 months in prison for possessing and intending to distribute fentanyl and cocaine base, and for possessing firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Hartford Man Who Possessed Loaded Guns and Drugs While on State Parole Sentenced to 32 Months in Federal Prison

News Release: Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that LUIS MIGUEL RODRIGUEZ, 25, of Hartford, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Alvin W. Thompson in Hartford to approximately 32 months of imprisonment, time already served, and three years of supervised release, for unlawfully possessing firearms.

Previously Convicted Felon Sentenced to 9 Years in Prison for Federal Drug Trafficking, Firearms Offenses

News Release: ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, and Brendan Iber, Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, announced today that Gabriel Villasenor was sentenced to a term of 115 months in prison. Villasenor, 29, pled guilty on Sept. 2, 2022, to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

ATF National Response Team Joins Local, State Fire Investigation in Sterling, Illinois

News Release: WASHINGTON - The Chicago Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives requested ATF’s National Response Team join the investigation into a fire that occurred the morning of Friday, July 7, 2023, that claimed the life of one resident. Two others sustained non-life threating injuries in the three-story mixed-use building on the 400 block of 3rd Street in Sterling, Illinois.

Judge Finds Fort Myers Felon Guilty of Unlawfully Possessing a Loaded Firearm With an Obliterated Serial Number

News Release: Fort Myers, Florida - United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Steven Dewayne Barnes, Jr. (26, Fort Myers) has been found guilty, following a bench trial before United States District Judge Sheri Polster Chappell, of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number. Barnes faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not been set.

Janesville Man Sentenced to 13 Years for Multiple Armed Robberies & Brandishing a Firearm

News Release: MADISON, WIS. - Timothy M. O’Shea, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Devonti Wilson, 38, Janesville, Wisconsin was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to 13 years in federal prison for armed robbery and brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. This prison term will be followed by a 5-year term of supervised release. Wilson pleaded guilty to these charges on March 21, 2023.

Mount Dora Convicted Felon Sentenced to Seven Years for Illegally Possessing a Firearm

News Release: Ocala, Florida - Senior United States District Judge John Antoon II has sentenced Woodrow Milton Butler (40, Mount Dora) to seven years in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. The court also ordered the forfeiture of the firearm and ammunition used in the offense. Butler had pleaded guilty on Feb. 1, 2023.

News Release: PEORIA, Ill. - A Peoria, Illinois, man, Denzel L. Jordan, 29, of the 1200 block of North University Street, was sentenced on July 20, 2023, to 40 months in federal prison for possession of a firearm and ammunition, to be followed by three years of supervised release.

Federal Jury Convicts Pensacola Armed Fentanyl Trafficker

News Release: PENSACOLA, FLORIDA - Marcus D. Flintroy, 32, of Pensacola, Florida, was found guilty by a federal jury Wednesday afternoon on two counts of distribution of fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The guilty verdict was announced by Jason R. Coody, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

La Crosse Felon Sentenced to 46 Months for Illegal Gun Possession

News Release: MADISON, WIS. - Timothy M. O’Shea, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Kareem Nellem, 30, La Crosse, Wisconsin was sentenced today by Chief U.S. District Judge James D. Peterson to 46 months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a felon. This prison term will be followed by a 3-year term of supervised release. Nellem pleaded guilty to this charge on April 12, 2023.
