Ringleader and Key Co-Defendant Sentenced to Prison for Leading Beckley-to-Philadelphia Firearms Trafficking Conspiracy

News Release: BECKLEY, W.Va. - Bisheem Jones, aka “Bosh," 37, of Philadelphia was sentenced today to 25 years in prison, to be followed by 3 years of supervised release, for leading a scheme to traffic over 140 firearms from southern West Virginia to Philadelphia. Shyheem Woodard-Smith, aka “Peanut" and “Nut," 23, of Philadelphia, was also sentenced today to five years in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for his key role in the gun trafficking conspiracy.

Tampa Gang Member Sentenced to 10 Years in Federal Prison for Possessing a Firearm

News Release: TAMPA, Fla. - U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle has sentenced Demetrius Lamar Rahmings, 28, of Tampa to 10 years in federal prison for possessing a loaded firearm as a convicted felon. The court also ordered Rahmings to forfeit a Taurus G2C 9mm Pistol and 19 rounds of 9mm ammunition traceable to the offense. Rahmings had been found guilty on May 30, following a bench trial.

Fort Myers Felon Pleads Guilty to Unlawfully Possessing a Firearm and Cocaine

News Release: FORT MYERS, Fla. - U.S. Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Keith Dewayne Drayton Jr., 27, of Fort Myers today pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm as a previously convicted felon and possessing with the intent to distribute cocaine. Drayton faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in federal prison for the firearm offense and up to 20 years’ imprisonment for the drug offense. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

Memphis Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Armed Carjacking

News Release: MEMPHIS, Tenn. - On Sept. 1, a federal judge sentenced the second of two men involved in an armed carjacking that occurred at a Memphis apartment complex in January 2022. Wesley Richardson, 21, of Memphis was sentenced to 121 months in federal prison for his role, said Kevin G. Ritz, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee. U.S. District Court Judge Jon P. McCalla also ordered Richardson to serve five years of supervised release upon completion of his prison term.
