FBI Announces the Arrest of an Alleged Bank Robber

The FBI announces the arrest of Erick Mendoza, 25, of Hialeah, Florida, for his alleged involvement in the following bank robberies:

* April 8, 2023, Chase Bank branch at 11399 Bird Road, Miami, Florida;

* May 27, 2023, Chase Bank branch at 9501 West Flagler Street, Miami, Florida;

* July 27, 2023, Truist Bank branch at 7775 West 33 Ave, Hialeah, Florida.

The arrest was made without incident by the South Florida Violent Crime and Fugitive Task Force and FBI in Hialeah, Florida.

The subject is in federal custody. It is anticipated that he will have his initial appearance in Miami federal court.

The South Florida Violent Crime and Fugitive Task Force and the FBI continue their investigation.

Because this is an ongoing investigation, no further information will be released at this time.
