The Bureau of Justice Assistance is offering a grant open from June 27 to Aug. 7.

The grant could provide up to $2,196,000.

OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. With this solicitation, BJA seeks applications for funding to strengthen and improve the representation of indigent defendants in criminal cases and indigent respondents in civil causes of action under the jurisdiction of Indian tribes, with the ultimate goals of enhancing the operations of tribal justice systems and improving access to those systems by tribal citizens.
