WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) sent a letter to Alphabet, Google’s and YouTube’s parent company, pressing for the company’s full compliance with the terms of the Committee’s subpoena for documents and communications. To date, Alphabet has produced just 4,049 pages of material in response to the subpoena. Alphabet’s productions thus far have included improper redactions that impede the Committee’s oversight. In addition, Alphabet has not included material the Committee has reason to believe may be in the company’s possession and is responsive to the subpoena.
 
The Committee expects Alphabet to produce all responsive material without redactions, both for documents already produced and for documents to be produced going forward, and that Alphabet produces these documents directly to the Committee consistent with the subpoena. If Alphabet fails to comply in full with the subpoena’s demands, the Committee may be forced to consider the use of one or more enforcement mechanisms.
