The National Institute of Corrections (NIC) recognizes the need to provide community supervision leadership with training that enhances skills to improve an agency's ability to deliver evidence-based practices intended to support behavior change among supervised individuals. Therefore, NIC collaborated with an independent contractor to review, modify, and redesign its Probation and Parole Executive Orientation curriculum; the result was the creation of a virtual Community Supervision Leadership Learning Lab that includes the most up-to-date material needed to assist community corrections leaders in probation and parole agencies in effectively implementing evidence-based interventions.
