Rapid City Man Sentenced for Illegal Possession of Ammunition

United States Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell announced today that U.S. District Judge Jeffrey L. Viken has sentenced a Rapid City, South Dakota, man convicted of Possession of Ammunition by a Prohibited Person. The sentencing took place on May 15, 2023.

Marrero Man Pleads Guilty to a Violation of the Federal Gun Control Act

On May 11, 2023, MELVIN WALKER, age 34, a resident of Marrero, Louisiana, pled guilty to a one-count indictment, charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 922(g)(1) and 924(a)(8), announced U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans.

Multi-Convicted Felon Sentenced to 15 Years for Possessing a Firearm and Controlled Substances

News Release: Orlando, FL - U.S. District Judge Paul G. Byron has sentenced Curtis Tyrone Johnson (35, Melbourne) to 15 years in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and possessing with the intent to distribute various controlled substances. The court also ordered Johnson to forfeit a Glock.40 caliber pistol and ammunition traceable to the offense. A federal jury had found Johnson guilty on February 8, 2023.

Small had pleaded guilty on October 14, 2021.
