Summerset Man Indicted for Illegal Possession of a Firearm

News Release: RAPID CITY - United States Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell announced that a federal grand jury has indicted a Summerset, South Dakota, man for Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition by a Prohibited Person and Possession of an Unregistered Firearm.


Omaha Woman Sentenced to 72 Months After Jury Convicts Her of Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm

News Release: United States Attorney Steven Russell announced that Kristen M. Patterson, 40, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced on May 3, 2023, in federal court in Omaha for unlawfully possessing a firearm as a felon. United States District Brian C. Buescher sentenced Patterson to 72 months’ imprisonment. She was also ordered to serve two years of supervised release after her release from prison. There is no parole in the federal system.


Felon Sentenced to Prison for Illegal Possession of Firearm

News Release: BILLINGS - A man with multiple state and federal felony convictions was sentenced today to a total of five years and five months in prison for violating supervised release on prior convictions and for illegally possessing a firearm after law enforcement found a loaded gun in a vehicle he was driving when it crashed, U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich said.
