Man Sentenced to Additional Prison Time for Violating Supervised Release

Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that DANIEL CAY, 35, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Victor A. Bolden in Bridgeport to 60 months of imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release, for violating the conditions of his supervised release.


Fugitive Wanted for Sex Crimes in Maricopa County Returned to the United States After Apprehension in Mexico

This afternoon, Godfrey Diaz Romero, 63, was deported back to the United States after his arrest in Sonora, Mexico. Romero was wanted by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office for Sexual Assault, Kidnapping, Sexual Abuse, and Fraudulent Schemes.


Man Wanted for 2016 Homicide Arrested by U.S. Marshals in Youngstown

his afternoon, members of the Youngstown Division of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Daundre Turner, 25. Turner was wanted by the Youngstown Police Department for aggravated murder and aggravated robbery.


Leader Of Newburgh Street Gang Admits To 2016 Murder

Damian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced that ARDAE HINES, a/k/a “Young Money,” a/k/a “YM,” pled guilty today to conspiracy to commit murder in aid of racketeering and distribution of narcotics in connection with his involvement in the August 1, 2016, murder of Deandric Little in Newburgh, New York. As part of his guilty plea, HINES admitted that he knowingly and intentionally agreed to kill Little and that Little died as a result.


La Crosse Man Sentenced to 29 Months for Unlawfully Possessing Firearm

News Release: MADISON, WIS. - Timothy M. O’Shea, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Anthony James, 39, La Crosse, Wisconsin, was sentenced today by Chief U.S. District Judge James D. Peterson to 29 months in federal prison for possessing a firearm after previously being convicted of a felony. James pleaded guilty to this charge on Feb. 10, 2023.


Fort Myers Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Unlawfully Possessing a Firearm as a Convicted Felon

News Release: Fort Myers, Florida - U.S. District Judge Sheri Polster Chappell has sentenced Jontavious Jarquel Griffin (34, Fort Myers) to 5 years and 10 months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a previously convicted felon. The court also ordered Griffin to forfeit the firearm and ammunition possessed during the offense. Griffin had pleaded guilty on Jan. 25, 2023.


Huntington Man Sentenced to 54 Months in Prison

News Release: FORT WAYNE -Adam Meekin, 26 years old, of Huntington, Indiana, was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Holly A. Brady after his plea of guilty to engaging in the business of dealing and manufacturing firearms and the unlawful possession of an unregistered firearm, announced United States Attorney Clifford D. Johnson.


Cheyenne Man Sentenced for Being a Felon in Possession of an Illegal Firearm

News Release: Michael Langley, age 26, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was sentenced to 51 months in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl imposed the sentence, which also included three years of supervised release and a $100 special assessment, on May 2, 2023.

Fresno Men Charged for Series of Vehicle Pipe-Bombings

News Release: FRESNO, Calif. - A federal grand jury returned an indictment today against Scott Eric Anderson, 43, and Paul New, 55, both of Fresno, charging them with conspiracy to destroy by means of an explosive device and malicious destruction by means of an explosive device, U.S. Attorney Phillip A. Talbert announced. Anderson was also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.


Felon Sentenced to Prison for Illegal Possession of Firearm

News Release: BILLINGS - A man with multiple state and federal felony convictions was sentenced today to a total of five years and five months in prison for violating supervised release on prior convictions and for illegally possessing a firearm after law enforcement found a loaded gun in a vehicle he was driving when it crashed, U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich said.


Burnsville Felon Charged With Illegal Possession of Machineguns

Rapid City Man Sentenced for Illegal Possession of a Firearm

News Release: RAPID CITY - United States Attorney Alison J. Ramsdell announced today that U.S. District Judge Jeffrey L. Viken has sentenced a Rapid City, South Dakota, man convicted of Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition by a Prohibited Person. The sentencing took place on April 28, 2023.

Attempted “Straw” Firearm Purchaser Sentenced to One Year in Prison

News Release: MADISON, WIS. - Timothy M. O’Shea, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Taylor A. Kratochwill-Loomis, 22, DeForest, Wisconsin, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to one year and one day in prison for making false statements while attempting to purchase a firearm for a prohibited person. This is commonly known as a “straw purchase." Kratochwill-Loomis pled guilty to this offense on Jan. 18, 2023.
