Tennessee Man Arrested on Felony and Misdemeanor Charges for Actions During January 6 Capitol Breach

News Release: WASHINGTON - A Tennessee man has been arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges related to his actions during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. His actions and the actions of others disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress convened to ascertain and count the electoral votes related to the presidential election.

News Release: Firearms Offenses. Matthew Pruitt, age 20, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was sentenced on May 26, 2023, to 27 months in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson imposed the sentence, which included three years of supervised release and a $100 special assessment.
