Billings Man Accused of Illegal Possession of Firearm in School Zone

News Release: BILLINGS, Mont. - A Billings man accused of illegally possessing a gun near a Billings elementary school appeared today in federal court on a firearms charge, U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich said.


Fort Myers Man Pleads Guilty to Possessing a Firearm and Ammunition as a Convicted Felon

News Release: FORT MYERS, Fla. - U.S. Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Deshon G. Walker, 26, of Fort Myers today pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon. Walker faces a minimum mandatory penalty of 15 years, up to life, in federal prison. A sentencing date has not been set.


FBI Seeking Information Related to Anchorage Bank Robbery

News Release: DETROIT - Members of a violent Detroit gang were indicted on various federal charges including racketeering conspiracy, trafficking controlled substances, firearm charges and unemployment insurance fraud, announced U.S. Attorney Dawn N. Ison.


Melvin Hill Convicted by Jury on Federal Drug and Firearms Charges

News Release: BURLINGTON, Vt. - The U.S. Attorney for the District of Vermont announced that Melvin Hill, 44, of Tignall, Georgia, was convicted yesterday in U.S. District Court in Rutland on five drug and gun charges after a week-long jury trial. Chief U.S. District Judge Geoffrey Crawford ordered that Hill remain in jail pending sentencing, which has not been scheduled. Hill has been held without bail since his arrest in March 2022.


Troy Woman Pleads Guilty to Nationwide Marijuana Trafficking and Money Laundering Conspiracies

Fort Myers Felon Pleads Guilty to Unlawfully Possessing a Firearm and Cocaine

News Release: FORT MYERS, Fla. - U.S. Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Keith Dewayne Drayton Jr., 27, of Fort Myers today pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm as a previously convicted felon and possessing with the intent to distribute cocaine. Drayton faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in federal prison for the firearm offense and up to 20 years’ imprisonment for the drug offense. A sentencing date has not yet been set.


Fort Myers Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Unlawfully Possessing Firearm as a Convicted Felon

News Release: FORT MYERS, Fla. - U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Barber has sentenced James Blanks, 27, of Fort Myers to 12 months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, to be served consecutively to a 4-year state prison sentence he is currently serving. The court also ordered Blanks to forfeit the firearm and ammunition possessed during the offense. Blanks pleaded guilty on May 4.


Nine KC Gang Leaders, Members Indicted in Racketeering, Murder Conspiracies

Former Auburn Physician Pays $135,000 and Forfeits DEA Registration, for Overprescribing Controlled Substances

News Release: SYRACUSE, NEW YORK - Dr. Jang Boo Chi, formerly a physician in Auburn, and his medical practice, Jang Boo Chi M.D. P.C., have agreed to pay the United States $135,000 in civil penalties for overprescribing opioids and other controlled substances in dangerous combinations. ATF National Response Team To Investigate Buffington Farms Fire

Lansing Man Sentenced to 46 Months in Prison for Illegal Gun Possession

News Release: GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan Mark Totten today announced that Davion Shymarri Shaltry, 19, of Lansing, Michigan, was sentenced to 46 months in prison for illegally possessing a firearm as a felon. Shaltry will be on supervised release for three years after he is released from prison.
