Indictment Alleges New Haven Gang Members Committed 2 Murders and 10 Attempted Murders

News Release: As a result of an investigation into gang-related drug trafficking and related violence in New Haven, a federal grand jury in Bridgeport has returned an indictment charging six alleged members and associates of the “Exit 8" street gang in New Haven with conspiring to engage in a pattern of racketeering activity, including drug trafficking, murder, and attempted murder, as well as related offenses.


Convicted Murderer Pleads Guilty to Illegally Possessing Firearms

News Release: Ocala, Florida - United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Christopher Richard Munroe (55, Ocala) has pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Munroe faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in federal prison. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for June 15, 2023. Munroe had been indicted on Dec. 20, 2022.


Jefferson County Felon Sentenced to Over 24 Years in Federal Prison for Trafficking Methamphetamine and Multiple Firearms Charges

News Release: Jackson, Miss - A Jefferson County felon was sentenced to 295 months in federal prison for possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon, and possessing firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.


Bridgeport Gang Member Involved in 2019 Murder Sentenced to More Than 21 Years in Federal Prison

News Release: ZIARE DEDRICK, also known as “Zi" and “Hb Zi," 21, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Kari A. Dooley in Bridgeport to 255 months of imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release, for his participation in a violent Bridgeport street gang, including his involvement the murder of Ty’Quess Moore in December 2019.


Omaha Man Sentenced to 51 Months for Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm

News Release: United States Attorney Steven Russell announced that MacAnthony Gordon, 37, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced today in federal court in Omaha for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Chief United States District Judge Robert F. Rossiter, Jr. sentenced Gordon to 51 months’ imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system. After Gordon’s release from prison, he will begin a three-year term of supervised release.


Grand Jury Indicts Falconer Man In Cold Case Murder Investigation

Federal Grand Jury Indicts Tennessee Man for Possession of a Machinegun

News Release: NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA - KEATON MANGHANE, age 24, a resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, was charged on March 10, 2023 in a sealed one-count indictment for possession of a machinegun. The indictment was unsealed on March 28, 2023.


Meridian Man Sentenced to Over Six Years in Prison for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

News Release: Jackson, Miss. - A Meridian, Mississippi man was sentenced to 77 months in prison for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, announced U.S. Attorney Darren J. LaMarca of the Southern District of Mississippi and Special Agent in Charge Kurt H. Thielhorn of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).


Sikeston Man Sentenced To Serve 125 Months in Federal Prison on Gun and Drug Charges

News Release: CAPE GIRARDEAU - The United States Attorney's Office announced that Cameron Melton Malone, age 30, of Sikeston, Missouri, was sentenced to serve a total aggregate sentence of 125 months in federal prison for the offenses of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana. Malone appeared for his sentencing hearing today before United States District Judge John A. Ross, at the federal courthouse in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
