New Orleans Man Sentenced for Carjacking and Firearms Offenses

News Release: NEW ORLEANS, LA - MERVIN BAILEY, age 20, of New Orleans, Louisiana, was sentenced today for carjacking and attempted carjacking in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2119 and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 924(c)(1)(A)(ii) announced United States Attorney Duane A. Evans.


West Hartford Man Sentenced to More Than 10 Years in Prison for Fentanyl Distribution and Gun Possession Offenses

News Release: Vanessa Roberts Avery, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that JAYVIAN RODRIGUEZ, 25, of West Hartford, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Sarala V. Nagala in Hartford to 126 months of imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release, for fentanyl distribution and firearm possession offenses.


Indictment Alleges New Haven Gang Members Committed 2 Murders and 10 Attempted Murders

News Release: As a result of an investigation into gang-related drug trafficking and related violence in New Haven, a federal grand jury in Bridgeport has returned an indictment charging six alleged members and associates of the “Exit 8" street gang in New Haven with conspiring to engage in a pattern of racketeering activity, including drug trafficking, murder, and attempted murder, as well as related offenses.


U.S. Marshals Offer up to $5K Reward for Man Wanted on Attempted Murder Charges in NH

News Release: Concord, NH - The U.S. Marshals in New Hampshire are asking for the public’s assistance and offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted on multiple charges stemming from shooting incidents in October 2022 in Goffstown and June 2019 in Manchester.

St. Paul Man Sentenced to Prison for Straw Purchasing Multiple Firearms

News Release: MINNEAPOLIS - A St. Paul man has been sentenced to 24 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for making a false statement during the purchase of a firearm, announced U.S. Attorney Andrew M. Luger.


Butler Township Man Pleads Guilty to Gun, Drug Crimes Punishable by at Least 15 Years in Prison

News Release: DAYTON, Ohio - Timothy Jefferson, 46, of Butler Township, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to drug and gun crimes that carry a mandatory minimum of 15 years and up to life in federal prison.


Columbus Man Faces 25-Year Prison Sentence After Conviction of Crimes Related to Violent Armed Robbery

News Release: COLUMBUS, Ohio - A U.S. District Court jury has convicted Kevin Daniels, 45, of Columbus, of crimes he committed during the armed robbery of a mobile phone store in November 2021. Because of prior criminal convictions, Daniels faces at least 25 years in prison.
