Indiana Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Meth Trafficking

Johnson for the Northern District of Indiana announced that Marcel Toussaint, 37, of Fort Wayne, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Holly A. Brady after pleading guilty to distributing more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.


South Florida Man Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison for Firearms Offense

News Release: Fort Myers, Florida - U.S. District Judge Sheri Polster Chappell today sentenced Cambrel Jamal Smart (29, Fort Lauderdale) to five years in federal prison for possessing a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon. The court also ordered Smart to forfeit the firearm and ammunition he illegally possessed. Smart had pleaded guilty on Dec. 1, 2022.

Convicted Murderer Pleads Guilty to Illegally Possessing Firearms

News Release: Ocala, Florida - United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Christopher Richard Munroe (55, Ocala) has pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Munroe faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in federal prison. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for June 15, 2023. Munroe had been indicted on Dec. 20, 2022.

South Bend Man Sentenced to 36 Months in Prison

Five San Antonio men were arrested in San Antonio today on criminal charges related to their alleged roles in a drug trafficking organization.According to court documents, Cesar Martinez aka Viejito, 66; Bruce Charles Morales, 51; Kelvin Sauls, 41; Juan Alberto Coronado aka Cacheton, 49; and Julio Rodriguez III, 39, were named in a six-count indictment issued by a grand jury earlier this month.
