Three Nevada Men Convicted in Multimillion Dollar Prize Notice Scheme

News Release: A federal jury convicted three Nevada men yesterday for perpetrating a prize-notification scheme that stole more than $6 million from victims. The notices led victims to believe that they could claim a large cash prize if they paid a fee of $20 to $30. This was false; victims who paid the fees did not receive anything of value. Many of the schemes’ victims were retirees or other older adults.


Florida Man Sentenced for Assault on Law Enforcement During January 6 Capitol Breach

News Release: WASHINGTON - A Florida man has been sentenced for crimes related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, which disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress that was in the process of ascertaining and counting the electoral votes related to the presidential election.


Red Lake Felon Sentenced to Over Five Years in Prison for Firearm Possession, Fentanyl Distribution

Middleburg Felon Pleads Guilty to Illegally Possessing Ammunition

News Release: Jacksonville, Florida - United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Cody Mack McCormick (35, Middleburg) today pleaded guilty to possession of ammunition as a convicted felon. McCormick faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in federal prison. A sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.
