Kern County Man Charged with Making Death Threats and Bomb Threats to a Nonprofit and Reproductive Health Centers

A Kern County man charged with making threatening telephone calls last year, including to a Planned Parenthood office on the day the United States Supreme Court overturned its Roe v. Wade decision, has been arraigned in federal court, the Justice Department announced today.


Indictment Charges 14 New Haven Area Residents with Charges Related to Counterfeit Pill Production, Narcotics Trafficking

West Virginia Truck Driver Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for Attempted Sex Trafficking of a Minor in Morton, Illinois

A West Virginia over-the-road truck driver, Michael Leonard, 53, has been sentenced to fifteen years in prison, to be followed by a lifetime of supervised release, for attempted trafficking of a minor


Former Hospice Care Owner Convicted of Defrauding Medicare

A federal jury has returned a guilty verdict against Kristal Glover-Wing, 50, of Broussard, Louisiana, for one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud and three counts of health care fraud following a trial that lasted nearly four weeks, announced United States Attorney Brandon B. Brown. Dr. Gary M. Wiltz and Dr. Charles H. Louis were each acquitted on their charges in the indictment. Judge Robert R. Summerhays presided over the trial.


Former City of Kenner Director of Inspection and Code Enforcement Sentenced to 46 Months Imprisonment

Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, announced today that Jonathan John James pleaded guilty to travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct. James, 58, of Tsaile, Arizona, will remain on conditions of release pending sentencing, which has not been scheduled.


Shiprock man pleads guilty to involuntary manslaughter

Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, announced today that Keanu Marcel Upshaw pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter. Upshaw, 22, of Shiprock, New Mexico, and an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, will remain in custody pending sentencing, which has not been scheduled.
