Florida Murder Suspect Arrested by U.S. Marshals in Canton
News Release: Canton, OH - The U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) in Canton, OH arrested Cherie Goss (42) earlier today on charges of attempted first degree murder. Goss was wanted by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Fort Lauderdale, FL after charges were filed against her in early April. The U.S. Marshals Service was able to track her to Stark County, OH where she was arrested.

Clay County Man Convicted of Unlawfully Possessing a Sawed-Off Shotgun
News Release: Jacksonville, FL - United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Dylan Milton Jarvis (31, Orange Park) has been found guilty of unlawful possession of an unregistered National Firearms Act firearm (sawed-off shotgun), following a bench trial. Jarvis faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison and forfeiture of the sawed-off shotgun seized by law enforcement during their investigation. The case is set for sentencing on July 24, 2023.

News Release: Jacksonville, Florida - Chief U.S. District Judge Timothy J. Corrigan has sentenced Corinthian King (32, Jacksonville) to 11 years and 8 months in federal prison for possessing with the intent to distribute cocaine. King has also agreed to the forfeiture of a Glock 9mm pistol and ammunition, possessed during his commission of the offense. King had pleaded guilty on Sept. 21, 2022, and admitted to violating his supervised release on April 25, 2023.

Lawyer Sentenced to Nine Years in Prison for $8 Million Escrow Fraud
News Release: Damian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced that BRIAN O’NEILL, a Maryland attorney and escrow agent, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Valerie Caproni to nine years in prison for defrauding his clients of funds he was holding for them in escrow. O’NEILL pled guilty to two counts of wire fraud in November 2022.
